A movie within a movie with documentary camera shooting parallel reality.
The director shows a team of US film maker in Bolivia shooting a historical story of how Christians and Christopher Columbus has exploited, killed native Indians, force them to convert to Christianity. The actors are also revolting against the govenment in real life, they want to take everything from the people, even the rain (local water source has been locked by the govenment) The documentary shoots the going ons in the film shooting event. And we are shown the movie making, the documentary footage, and the overall scene of the big picture. Memorable movie, though there are strange places here and there.
A movie with historical conscious, it tells the story of the oppressed - because our world continues in this way. The rich controls and exploits the poor. All changes for the better are made at great costs.
Its a very fine movie with much more than general entertainment in mind.
