好奇藝術 Kunstkammer 56 : Personal museum of computers used

好奇藝術 Kunstkammer 56  :  Personal museum of computers used

My first portable computer was a Sharp 286, 1mb memory, external floppy disk drive; purchased in 1989
Then, there was a 386.  Dead
Then, 486, spilled coffee on it.  Dead
Apple G4 - too old, still working
Then, Pentium 4 Sony Vaio - Dead (v gd screen)
Then, Pentium 4 Sony Vaio #2 - also Dead (v gd screen)
Apple MacBook Pro - 2012, dead once.  But resuscitated and cleaned, nothing to be replaced.  All new again using the same original element 2015.
On the MacBook Pro, I had installed Windows 7 on it.  When the Mac part got totally frozen, I was able to retrieve all the data files through the Windows 7 os, then, opened the computer and cleaned the inside - it was all sweaty looking, looked like rust, but it wasnt, just rust like stains inside.  I think its the humid air and dusty environnement.
I had to reformat the hard disk slowly.  After one day.  The whole machine was new again.

Computers I own today:
Now, I have a MacBook Pro from 2012.
An olpc first generation linux computer for children.  This machine has a more powerful wifi capacity than the MacBookPro even.  I could pick up wifi network where Mac couldnt.
Two Sony machines, which weights 380grammes.  model 505.
Both still working, w cd rom external drive.

Found an hp omnibook xe4500 - dated 2002 - in the garbage room, this one has dvd rom and floppy disk drive.  Almost new. Windows xp.

Almost new, still useful and abandonned.
