I have found a way to make the guqin v rigid.
And have tested it, and it works.
Total weight without strings, tuning pegs = 2.2kg
Add strings, and tuning pegs, and one more layer of final lacquer, target weight is 3kg all inclusive.

Notes all play on the string, no more rigidity problem.
