Amazon* - One of the best places to buy filament, I believe they even accept returns if you don't like the filament (I haven't tried that myself, that's partially why I have so much of it).
Printed Solid - They only sell the good stuff (Colofabb, Taulman, Fenner Drives, Polymaker, etc.), and are kind enough to send me some samples to try occasionally. They sell filament samples which are great for trying out some of the more expensive filaments. They also have a store on Amazon*.
Atomic Filament - Good filament, free shipping, made in California. I check their site often as they're adding new colors / types regularly.
Microcenter - Good place to order eSun (branded as Inland) filament if you have a store nearby or are ordering large quantities (Shipping where I'm at starts at $6 and increases by $1 per spool). They also sell on Amazon* with free prime shipping.
eSun* - eSun filament is sold and sometimes rebranded by a lot of different sources and I don't know if there are differences between them other than the different spool styles. For this list, I assume they're the same. Microcenter's Inland filament is currently eSun filament and the cheapest place I've found for it (if you don't account for shipping). They also sell Inland* filament on Amazon with free prime shipping. Most of the eSun filament in this list is from Intservo*, who sells on Amazon, but I have also ordered from Microcenter* and Prototype Supply*. Inland Filament* - I assume all the Inland filament is from eSun (see eSun above) and I've mostly linked to Inland spools because it's cheaper and I prefer the solid black spools.
This filament has a nice light gray color with a matte texture. When polished with sandpaper or a brass wire brush, it appears much more silvery. Printing with a 0.4mm nozzle is unreliable, some prints work, but there is a significant chance of the nozzle becoming jammed. It seems to work fine with a 0.6mm nozzle so for, I haven’t tried it with a 0.5mm nozzle.
Looks like this might be a gd choice.... for robot printing

Magnetic Iron PLA filament is truly one of a kind. Because of the iron powder blended into the PLA filament, this Iron filament is magnetic. The filament itself isn't a magnet, but magnets will stick to it. We recommend a printing temperature that is about 10-20 degrees lower than you would print with standard PLA material. To get a rusty look, "scuff" your finished print with a wire brush to expose more of the iron particles to the air. Then, spray vinegar onto your print and let it dry, doing this three or our times. Mix 16oz of hydrogen peroxide with 2oz of vinegar and 1 Tbs of salt in a spray bottle, and spray the print and watch as it rusts in front of you. Let dry and repeat as many times as desired. Magnetic Iron PLA filament can bring a worn and rusty look to any print. Due to its high abrasion, before printing you will need to install a hardened steel nozzle on your printer. Proto Pasta Magnetic Iron PLA filament is available in both 1.75mm and 3mm.

If you’re looking to move but can’t find the house of your dreams, you may be able to just print out what you’re after in the near future.
A San Francisco-based 3D-printing startup, Apis Cor, has come up with an exceedingly affordable solution for building new houses. It can 3D-print concrete walls for a small house in under 24 hours.
Apis Cor recently used its massive 3D-printer to lay down concrete walls on a test home at a site in Russia, where it has a business partner, printing out a cozy but livable 400-square-foot house. The machine, which looks more like a small crane than a conventional 3D printer, spits out layer upon layer of a concrete mixture that the company says can last for 175 years. After printing out the walls, the printer is removed, and a group of contractors install insulation, windows, appliances, and a roof. (It’s not entirely clear whether the whole house was finished and furnished in 24 hours, or just whether the walls were printed in that time.)
The company says that it can build and furnish these small houses for a cost of about $10,000, and according to the company’s blog on the project, the windows and doors were by far the most expensive component.
These houses could be used to help quickly re-house those affected by natural disasters, the company said. They might also be of use in its home town, where an influx of technology workers in recent years has created housing shortage crisis for the city.
