Curly Tops : Shirley Temple

Curly Tops: with Shirley Temple***

I watched this movie because Shirley Temple passed away yesterday at age 85.
What a wonderful person.  As a child star, she is a very very smart little kid!
All the characters are so "model" like, model mom, model big brother, model big sister - its a comic book played by real people.  But I like to watch it to the end, because the details are so perfectly polished.
Only part thats a little insufferable is when the man sings in this high voice!

I picked this film because when I was reading the reviews of all the films Temple made, they criticised this particular one because she was supposedly dressed in only gold paint as an angel at some point of the film.  Maybe I missed it.  Probably it was in the sequence where they put her as models of different famous paintings.  Good idea, for fun sequences.  We see that when the world needs sweet little kids, the movie makers will squeeze every opportunity to offer whats needed.
Sweet sweet innocence.

Temple herself said, no child star would be adored in such a way - ever again in history.  As a cute sweet child, she was needed along with Rin Tin Tin.
Such intelligence, and a very good person.
Why are our modern times child stars seem to all turn wacky and self destructive after some glory?
