As I watch the story unfold I keep on thinking as I watch the details of the movie, each person is pre- programmed w specific settings, diff limited poss of actions what comes out of it is more or less within the frame work. Because, that's the way you are organising a set of givens. 

Like an algorithm you cannot design these characters to be suddenly doing full rappers sound and moves, for example. Their singing belongs to a specific preset of beautiful sounds and words placed in a historical time.
