Christoph Weegen

Shuengit Chow growing up in the 80ies I like a lot of that music, not so many recent hits. Although I like ABBA a lot (The Winner Takes It All, Like An Angel Passing Through My Room) or Simon & Garfunkel (Scarborough Fair, A Poem On The Underground Wall), the songs I like most however are often songs that have never topped any charts. Like songs by Loreena McKennitt (The Lady Of Shalott, Cymbeline, The Two Trees), Tori Amos (Bells For Her, Winter, Caught A Lite Sneeze, and many more), Tom Waits (Ruby‘s Arms, Broken Bicycles, If I Have To Go, Alice, Green Grass, … say when), Radiohead (Street Spirit, No Surprises), Angelo Branduardi (Il Bambino dei Topi). Honorable mentions: „Last Stop: this town“ by The Eels, „Zeig mir den Weg nach unten“ (Knorkator), „The Book of Love“ by Peter Gabriel (it’s a cover, though), I just don’t know where to stop. There are just so many. Unfortunately a lot of them are far outside my range to sing.
Then there is classical music, of course, especially Bach (Gratias animus tibi from the Missa Brevis g-minor for example) and Claudio Monteverdi (Lamento della Ninfa, Pur Tim miro). Or John Dowland.
The world is full of the most wonderful songs even though it seems people are singing the same like twenty or thirty songs over and over again.

Christoph Weegen wow, i will listen to them! I am an Aretha Franklin fan, simply because wow, what liquid gold she has. I watched the Blues Brothers recently just to find out one song Back home to Chicago. Wow, its fantastic. More later, I will put a list of songs I listened to while doing some druggery work like putting slides in glass frames.... :)Thank you v much;
