wow, rapid fire dialogues, with no second of wastes. V powerful, sound is so important here, jibber jabber, jibber jabber, girl talks, then, the soft voice - the fighting voice, then , stop. The mother's voice, so kind and considerate, she had a problem communicating w her son, and here she is, the young woman who talked to him, and he talks to mother... extraordinary person. Not only in this, but how being a minority in a majority of ordinary women, concerned w their everyday of who gets whom sleeps w whom, what size they are, cosmetic surgery. Non stop noise. All the issues in the short film is like a distilled soundscape of words and contents, the world all simmered down. We get a taste of this terrible world as a young woman, this is what she is surrounded with.
The editing is by Xavier Doland, the speedy no waste story telling w music patterns is v striking and fresh. Film was made 7 yrs ago!
It also opened my eyes to what some Quebecoises lives maybe like, :)
