Day 70 - 20march2022 - Diy singing challenge "Qiu Yi Nong", "Dust in the Wind"

Day 70 -  20march2022 - Diy singing challenge "Qiu Yi Nong"

Now, I am going to sing to the WeSing app, no more youtube videos until its ready.  So we will only hear sound track with original musical arrangements behind.

After 2nd march, I had been practicing other songs, so I could step back and review the singing afresh.  Thats almost 18 days.  around 3 wks.

Here it is
I was sick, got covid!  but I recovered v quickly in 5 days, all cold symptoms  disappeared, and its like a natural vaccine.  So now, I could go to movie shoots, all these other events without having to do a pcr test!
As my voice in a rhume state is v shaky, w mucus phlegme, some parts are not vibrating... like a sick frail person about to die... this type of voice is not my normal voice, and i think it fits the song "Dust in the Wind" so I sang that, and the effect is v interesting, to me, moving w variation and v special unique qualities of a voice inspite of all imperfections will complete the song fully.

"Dust in the Wind", Kansas orig, Sarah Brightman ver

first try - with more broken sounds

second try - better smoother control after voice warm up and physical movements warmup

With such a voice, is it suitable for singing sad love songs?  Maybe.  So I took the occasion to do Qiu Yi Nong w this post covid recovering sickish voice.

Then, I realise for the Qiu Yi Nong song, technically its much more challenging for my post covid sick voice, a lot of sounds could not be had, so i had to vibrate entirely another area of my voice, a little supported falsetto type of high voice.  Which I normally never knew i could sing an entire song like this.
Not in gd condition, could hardly sing, but I could do experiments while the voice is in such a shape - not too much - I could see how i could avoid the missing notes parts and vibrate on the parts that i could.  Some songs are ok, others, like QiuYiNong is like Beijing Opera sound... anyway.  I think better re do tomorrow, dont want to ruin my vocal cordes.  Especially when i might not really know what i am doing, no time to experiment now.
