This year's fair will begin two days earlier than
before to coincide with the Labor Day holiday from April 29 to May 1,
instead of May 1-3 as in previous years, organizers said.
Exhibitors will have a better and quieter environment for business negotiations before April 29.
Afterwards, children and students, the main consumers of cartoon and animation products, will throng the fair.
The festival will open with a concert of theme music and songs of classical cartoon films from home and abroad.
Last year more than 2 million visitors and 461
companies from 61 countries and regions took part in the fair, which
ended with 165 signed deals, valued at 14.6 billion yuan (US$2.3
billion).
