Tilly Ayres had made flower houses and mushroom houses, they all have spawner features that include several rooms in one. So I asked her did she use a holodeck ? No, she did the scripting herself and she gifted a skyball with spawner script open to me. Thanks to this gift, now I have a choice between two systems, which one to use?

I introduced him to Ayiki the super builder of scriptable mannequins. Part of sl just like in rl is the introduction of similar interest people to create a strong group. Collaboration in teh future. I also showed Salmaru store to Ayiki. My favorite is the crab noodles.

I was really impressed with the idea of holodeck, then I thought about it, actually its a rezzing of linked objects, thats just like rezzing a group of prims linked as a package. If you put a triggering device to open and make a copy of this group of linked objects, or that linked objects... isnt that what a "holo deck" is?

If you made say a double decker bus, and all the parts are linked in a special form, each time you open the package the bus is always all in the right place like a bus should. Isnt this what a "holodeck" is?

Whats in a name? What is "花魁", in Chinese, this means the Queen of all flowers. The number ONE in flowers.

花魁 in Japanese seem to be used uniquely as Queen of courtisane - to designate rankings in the metier of geishas, formalise a special type of romantic /erotic commerce. Here is a Youtube on the outer clothing and mannerisms of the 花魁, the Oiran. The contemporary pop version, one more, trailer of a feature film 惡女花魁, rock star plays the lead- and the traditional theatrical version.

According to an English-Chinese dictionary : The term 花魁 in Chinese has two meanings,literally 1/ the Number One flower, usually the plum blossom and 2/ by traditional analogic use; the Number One girl in a House of Flowers.

What are the various 花魁s of different countries in the world ? I discovered that China has no designated national flower. There has been a debate on which flower should be the "national" flower. It was a tie between the wood stem Peony - the Mudan - symbol of affluence, glory and power, and the Plum, symbol of elegance and outstanding integrity, as it blossoms in winter snow. So the two flowers were voted by the public - which one should be the National Flower? Now it seem to point to a Dual National Flower. Two flowers and one country. Thanks to the internet we can find answers to almost everything, I just couldnt believe it at first, no national flower? How come?

Communication depends on redundancy. I helped someone evaluate the package deal offers - even though I didnt have all the data at hand - due to various angles that we study the context; even though I misread some of the meaning of the stipulations and restrictions, the interpretation and outcome is still the best. Why is that? Because communication depends on redundancy. Words are imprecise. To not miss a message, you need multiple expressions - just like strokes in a painting. In real life, for precision, a picture is rendered via multiple expressions. If after you rendered it in so many fashion and still the receiver didnt "get it", then, forget it, let it rest until the context changes.

Saitot Tammas of CyberMystimare came to look at the multi-object one prim sculpties, she was in a Doggie Avatar. Such a nice doggie. All the animation are so perfectly doggie like.

I took a pic of the Doggie Avatar. You could buy it on XStreet. The creator Conjoh Kohime makes avatars like mermaids, snake tail woman, Ostrich feet people, baby doggie and the famous full fledge Doggie. You could try them out with $1linden demos too.

9 copper balls in one prim using Sculptie-O-matic

25 copper balls in one prim using Sculptie-O-matic; balls are not very round, but its very sculptural, so you have to know what you want and if the tool will do what you want to achieve. I like both very fine and slightly rough finishes. It all depends for what purpose.

I uploaded some Eartha Kitt songs on Youtube Player at Digital Guqin Museum site. She is so absolutely fabulous, passed away past Christmas. Her act is at once of her time, and of all times. Beautiful subtle nuances in each phrase she sings. Always her own voice. If I could find a complete show from the 70s that would be wonderful - as this period seem to show her in her full glam, orange and white theme very cheery. She jumps on a chaise longue, like a cat, landing lightly - :)


xo olpc : on the road

Was looking for a car charger for xo olpc, because I forgot to charge it when we went out - couldn't read my ebook :( Then, i thought, why not buy a car charger while I am out? Well, power source and adapter head are two important details.

According to one source, any 11-24 volt will do.

After another 30mn of looking up the internet, I found CuriousLee on flicker with 79 slides on how to power the xo olpc from a car! Ha, I have everything already, just didnt know could do this! I am so glad that I dont need to buy more stuff, I want to reduce incoming objects... hahahah one less thing in the house. So happy! Whats so great is that these are photos with few words, just the words you need and big close up photos of how tos with little hot spots with key points. Deserves a one gold star for this great job.

Contagious Republic came to visit, he gave Digital Guqin Museum a gift! The superb Sculptie-O-matic latest version to link 64prims into one sculptie, 64 = ONE; he investigated my house and said, you could save 100 prims here, 80 here, and here here here... I will have a lot of room to put new guqins and exhibit objects! He has a really cute avatar, with a white lab coat and Wellington boots with earth on it.

Salmaru came with his brand new truck. I asked him if he could transport my house on his truck for me, and he said "Maybe". In the end, he said, you can do it yourself. He gave me his truck full permission - to wear! Imagine I will be wearing the truck and the house! Me tired already!
But what i really want is to have my house pulled by the little taxi. Salmaru looks cool in his white Japanese truck, but me, i prefer the little flower taxi with my house. In this case, I feel like fun riding. Like a fun outing in the country side and not "house moving" day.

Perfect software to do the "pearl aluminum skin for Mobile Music 3" I am so happy to have found the Sculptie-O-Matic, wonderful! Thanks to Contagious Republic.

This is the kind of seaside I like - reading, drinking green coconut juice munching the flesh, durian, pomme de lait, what else what else... and internet ! Whats missing? maybe a horse?

"Chocolate" qin - prototype using single prim method

Proportions and textures are all just testing, not the final version.
Just a logbook record of experiments. Here i put on red strings. Also experiment.
Even with this simple sculptie tool - it took me a whole day to put this basic units together. And I have the strings from the last model.
So, an object like this takes two days of rl time. Thats not counting the hours of design shape texture refinements.

I made a Qin today. Reminds me of chocolate bars... chocolate qin for now. The prim is a sculptie using the Sculpt-o-matic software. Very nice software, this is another approach, more intuitive. We build up the shapes and let the script draft up the skin envelope for the final shape. Blender I must look into, but i rather like this. We have very sharp edges! wonderful.
