Diospyros kaki 'Pendula'
Le plaqueminier du Japon ou Kaki est un arbre remarquable pour son port, ses fleurs blanches-jaunâtres en été et son feuillage lustré. En automne, son feuillage devient alors resplendissant, passant par des teintes jaunes, rouges, pourpres ou bronzées. Avec ses fruits ressemblants à des tomates qui mûrissent quand l’arbre est dépourvu de feuilles, le kaki ne passe pas inaperçu en hiver.
Le fruit, riche en sucres (15%) et en vitamine C (16 mg / 100 g) est d'une saveur plutôt âcre. Il peut se consommer frais, à condition d’être parfaitement mûr et même un peu blet (sinon son goût est âpre) ; leur goût rappelle celui de l'abricot et la chair celle de la datte.
Il peut aussi être séché ou être utilisé pour préparer des confitures. Mais attention vous les récolterez avant l'assaut des oiseaux qui en raffolent (grives, étourneaux, pies, merles, etc…).
Les astringents, qui se consomment blets lorsque le fruit est mou et a perdu son astringence, et deviennent alors très doux et sucrés.
Les non astringents, qui se consomment durs, croquants comme une pomme. On peut aussi les laisser blettir (sur l'arbre ou hors de l'arbre) et les consommer mous ils sont alors légèrement plus sucrés.

Conseils de plantation
Le plaqueminier ou Kaki est un arbre rustique qui peut résister à des températures jusqu'à -15°C, voire -20° C. Pour fructifier le kaki a besoin de chaleur, néanmoins, vous pouvez en apercevoir en région parisienne dont un specimen à Paris au Jardin des plantes.
Le kaki résiste bien à la sécheresse. Il apprécie un sol profond, riche et bien drainé. Il redoute le calcaire et les sols trop humides. Il ne supporte pas les terres trop argileuses mais supporte un peu d'acidité.
Lors de la plantation de votre kaki, réalisez une belle fosse de plantation (80 x 80 cm) et plantez toujours le tuteur avant. Vous le planterez dans un mélange constitué d'1/3 de terre du jardin, 1/3 de terreau plantation et 1/3 de sable. Laissez toujours une cuvette pour l'arrosage qui doit être copieux au départ.
Lors de sa première année de plantation, le plaqueminier exige un arrosage très fréquent (environ un jour sur deux). Par la suite, il demande peu d’entretien, la taille se limitant en enlever les branches disgracieuses.
Conseils d'entretien
En hiver, taillez les bois morts de manière à aérer le centre de l'arbre. Cela permet une bonne circulation de l'air et la pénétration du soleil.
Le Kaki est peu sensible aux maladies.
Pour éviter qu'elles ne cassent, n'hésitez-pas à tuteurer les branches couvertes de fruits à partir du mois de septembre.
Utilisation
Le kaki est un gros fruit pouvant atteindre 10 cm de diamètre, de couleur orange à rouge selon les variétés et ressemblant à des oranges, des tomates ou des boules de sapin de Noël.
Le kaki est riche en vitamine C, B1, B2, B3 et en minéraux, mais aussi en fibres et en phénols ; il est l'un des fruits les plus riches en provitamine A. Les kakis se récoltent après les premières gelées, ils se consomment très mûrs presque blettes. La pulpe douce à saveur âpre, jaune orangé est légèrement fibreuse et juteuse, elle contient des graines brunes ovales et plates disposées en étoile. Les kakis sont consommés frais ou séchés. Ils sont très appréciés au Japon. Ils entrent aussi dans la confection de compotes, confitures, marmelades, fruits au sirop, glaces ou sorbets, sirops, eaux de vie ou tartes.
On peut aussi cultiver le Plaqueminier en pot sous serre ou dans une véranda. Le Plaqueminier permet aussi de réaliser des bonsaï très décoratifs (surtout avec les fruits) très solide et très durable.

Che-Yu Hsu "The Making of Crime Scenes" 2022 - Experimental digital color documentary, Taiwan/France. 21:56mn.
What I saw yesterday, at Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin, experimental film+contemporary arts fest. Under the theme of "Reconstitution". I saw 3 films, from diff countries.
I am especially interested in a film maker from Taiwan Che-Yu Hsu because of his artistry in the deployment of digital tech and story telling. --"The Making of Crime Scenes" 2022 - Experimental digital color documentary, Taiwan/France. 21:56mn.
Mixing new tech and exposed old tech, the wire flying in sky tech for wuxia film making which he intentionally did not erase the wires - which is never visible in a real wuxia film. Wires are normally hand removed after the film is shot. Here he showed some making of of the wuxia genre.
Che used Le fresnoy studio - and he made a docu film on a Taiwanese ex pro-contracter/murderer who became film producer, mostly of the Wuxia genre. Wuxia, kungfu, martial arts genre. This makes sense because his previous full time occupation - that of a contracter was an expression of the beliefs of "getting justice", doing what the "boss tells you to do", here, the contract came from the government, it was alluded. He talked about it, that he did a v gd job. He talked about it as a job, one of the gigs that he had. So he went to the us, did a clean job which he had thought gd and easy, clean. He thought nothing of FBI, in his mind, a simple logic, he was not conscious of the world of how detectives work in US. And was convicted, but anyway, the film started from the time after he converted into film maker/ producer. Che, Director of the docu film and the principal actor/subjects's point of view are quite interesting. The docu film maker also used digital tech in a v smart way, he goes inside, behind the virtual model of the the head of the principal character near the end, and we see through the holes of his eyes, what did the ex-contracter see, what was his views of the crime. The subject is v delicate, but shown in a v quick and succinct way without too much explanation, but we understand where the contractor came from, his normal way of life, and how he ended up doing the gig of his life, its almost pure monologue /answers to questions that we did not hear. V gd use of digital tech.

The Chinese woman checked herself into a hospital... For 2 wks now.
Polish woman said psy said, it's because she has been by herself for too long, no family no friends etc no job because her father left her money...
Then she said for herself the same, she is no longer part of Polish community back home and not really French here...then she said when she goes to Poland her family sis bro don't care, and it's not personal. It's just life.
People all have their own lives to live.Then, I suddenly understand what people in talk shows are saying, what does it means: "Dont visit your relatives after you are 60"
"After 60 dont go visit your relatives, there will be comparisons etc etc.... V hard , once the older generation family head is gone, everybody would be dispersed each on their own path... And that is v normal."
Polish woman said, Poland used to be poor, they were v happy to see her come home to visit, she would carry 30kg of luggage with gifts - she curved her back, showed a gesture, how she had carried stuff and hurt her back doing it.
But now they are richer than her.
They don't care about her anymore. And it is normal. She said.
It's just human nature. Not personal.
What I watched -
What is a talk host supposed to do to make a talk show interesting
I watched a lot of the round table talk shows on youtube, w the people talking about events in cultural historical stuff of recent china, recent and old events. With ma ga fei, dou ge, ma dou dou and fang jhou, and another women. I think it was also scripted kind of, not scripted in the ordinary sense, but scripted w a general global content of themes, and with a director; I noticed that one of the hosts, a woman writer has been dressed up in some more cutesy fanciful outfit, that did not seem to fit her personality nor the way she speaks; and yes, I think its staged.
For some discussions, they would say, you must generate opposing talks to make it interesting, so ma do do says, ok whatever you say I will go against the main talk, so the subject was love; etc;
but after a couple of exchanges, both agree on one point of view, and then it could no longer be turned into opposing views, no dynamics in the conversaion, and the director says, cut cut , cant use because of no conflict.
