click+read: easy to use ShotCode reader for Nokia phone users.
花 魁 HuaHui shotcode 2D tag, I finally found an esthetic 2D barcode tag that would work very well with cubes. Round dot on cubes!
Only thing is, Nokia phones seems to be complicated when it comes to downloading the ShotCode reader, so I submitted an Application Idea to Nokia! I am a fan of certain Nokia models; and the iPhone for the Chinese hand writing recognition capacities. 28April2010

花 魁
Re:
花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House, an invitation to participate as a nodal point for gathering interested people.
Concerning the 花 魁 HuaHui House, it is a new idea, an artwork with two interactive windows linking the creator to the buyer to the viewers, one on an Original 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House and one on a Unique numbered color print - one copy per cube (Like a birth certificate of the 花 魁 HuaHui Pixel Cube). It is an art work sold in small single Giant Pixel cube units, in modular units.
Buyers of a 花 魁 cube would own one A4 size color print of the House, and a Portrait of their 花 魁 cube, plus one tag unique to their 花 魁 cube pointing to a URL of their choosing.
It is not the physical Giant Pixel 花 魁 HuaHui cubes that are sold, but a unique one off A4 color print with their handmade cube portrait - one per cube, a unique color print. On the print and on the physical cube of the Original House are 2D barcodes linking to the url submitted by the buyer. The Color Print is an interactive picture. The buyer could put any content they like into the url that they submit. Its like a permanent window to the buyer through the physical cube of the House and through the Color Print the buyer received. The Giant Pixel cubes are visual nodal points, just like the color print; which contains also the same nodal point. Both nodal points are windows for gathering of people, viewers and creator.
I provide two interactive windows for the buyer.
Sample link:
Break Out Breakers
Use your mobile phone, click on the tag, this will bring you to the url of Break out Breakers. Url submitted by Sushimetal, Break out Breaker band leader from Secondlife.
Break out Breakers
Anybody visiting the real Giant Pixel cube on the 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House in real life could access the buyers url, and concurrently, anybody who sees the Numbered Pixel Cube Color Print (at their home, office, restaurant, salon, bar, clubs, wherever) they could access the buyer's url too via a simple click of their mobile phone.
The buyer owns the Interactive Color Print with a live link to access their personally hand picked Url; this same handpicked url is also displayed on a single specific cube on the Original House.
The House itself is a vehicle which unites all the buyers together. As the House is a MobileMusic house, it travels to different locations in the world and musical events are held at each location - small concerts in a beautiful landscape. Musical concerts are for example: Yaji's (elegant gatherings) under a tree; infront of a beautiful lake; on a misty plain; on a prairie; in a well clipped French park; rolling English garden; wilderness in a sculpture park; small townsquare; so many open sites possible.

花 魁 When?
The 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House has been invited to visit Bolognano, Italy; at Beuys Plantation by Lucrezia De Domizio Durini.
The MobileMusic House concept is explained here, at the Interdisciplinary, Intercultural International Conference on Guqin, Aesthetics and Humanitsm, last year in Taiwan. 24, 25April2009 http://swannbb.blogspot.com/2009/04/real-life-event-and-sl-presentation-of.html

HuaHui
Giant Pixels of the MobileMusic House
花 魁 Why?
The modular 花 魁 HuaHui Giant Pixel Cube scheme enables interested people to buy a modular piece of artwork thats linked to an Original 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House. As not many people have room to put a house - even though rather small for a house (11.25m2 footprint x 5.75m high) - inside their house.
Each Pixel Cube has a live url linking the purchaser (adopter) to the physical cube. It is an interactive concept with a life story that accompanies the house. The 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House travels - and a video documentary of the events that happens with the house is made - it began around summer of 2009, from the Virtual World, a record is noted on 14June2009. See here:
The House symbolises an International unity of efforts from people everywhere on the globe, starting from the Virtual World to the Real World, no matter how big or small, everybody could participate if they want to. I have made the basic unit very minimal, therefore almost microscopic entry barrier to participation. (The Certosa 花 魁 HuaHui installation is a small sample of this idea exported from the Virtual World to the Real World)
Similar to the Louvre, most museums today have a boutique. When people buy a postcard of the Mona Lisa, a poster, a scarf, a watch, a limited edition of an antique jewellery, or a replica of some Eygptian head - these are all small pieces of art work that remind the buyer of a link to the full size original work - to an artistic moment they shared with the creator as viewer. The buying of the objects from the boutique is personal memory, links to the original works..
For the 花 魁 HuaHui House, buyers pay for a concrete object (color print) and traces to remind them of the link with the original full size work. Furthermore, the buyer possesses an opportunity to actively present themselves via an unique interactive link on their specific Giant Pixel cube; the same url link also available on the Color print - two windows through which other viewers could visit the buyer's world. You print it out yourself from a jpeg file yourself.
When we surround ourselves with beautiful things and architecture - I think it is to remind us of our direction, our ideals in life. Here, I provide on top of the beautiful object, a physical space with 2 entry points; windows where any visitors could view other buyers via the links online - live.
As the 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House gains experience, the video documentary accumulates memories from visits at various parts of the world, the links embedded in each cube might or might not change in content. Depending on the owners of the urls, would they update content or not? Viewers visiting the MobileMusic one year ago, today and one year later might find some urls changed and some remains constant.
The 花 魁 HuaHui MobileMusic House is interactive, live.

film review: Mummuth, * *
Mummuth - film w Gérard Depardieu, Yolande Moreau, Isabelle Adjani. * *
Depardieu, Moreau, Adjani, all three v famous and gd actors now in a film a little film w little v little room to deploy their "play". Is it true? Can we express ourselves when the film storyline, the characters displayed are essentially very flat? Adjani plays a memory of Depardieus dead girlfriend, Yolande, plays a supermarket gal, some scenes are more meaty, Depardieu gets into a verbal fight w supermarket meat counter guy - real french everyday conversations the type of attack and pari - and Art Brut artist in the country side, a little crazy. Everything, all the tidbits added together does not a great film make.
Depardieu played this low intelligent man with a kind heart, who makes phone calls, several times, his words are "i am ok", second time "its me, i am ok" (because this man has no habit of talking; compared to his other role; the lover with the ugly long nose with words to woo - its really funny to see. But here, it is clear, if the script's character gives the actor only this much room, thats all he could say!!
Yolande also opportunity wasted. Why is her character so "sketchy"? Are all super market people devoid of emotional finesse? If yes, why did the director choose to show this? It would be a great challenge for a director to show a character which has little expression. There was a 2 second flashback just w voice, how Yolande's character met Depardieu character - why so stingy, let them show how they met!!!
Colossal waste of time and opportunities for everyone!!
We movie goers feel disappointed and cheated!!

Digital Guqin Museum visiting Bolognano, Italy, Museum of Joseph Beuys, Beer from Shanghai at NOZ
Beer imported from Shanghai at NOZ !
Just from looking at the can, sometimes I am surprised at the results. This one has a clean 60s look.
I also avoid displaying the original logo if possible. But some graphic logos are so effective that they are beautiful no matter how you assemble the pieces. Always good looking - these are the stars of the HuaHui skin!
The next venue for the full scale HuaHui MobileMusic House will be at the Museum of Joseph Beuys, musical event of selected videos of guqin players : 2, 3 July, 2010; Bolognano, Italy, visit the site here, go!

Maria Tupay Duque's frames. 24 frames = 8 cubes
Maria brought aluminum skins from Austria. In Vienna, people are very recycling conscious, so I have all these beautiful skins from Austria for the HuaHui Mobile House thanks to Maria.

HuaHui Cube and Giant Pixel painting, photomosaics
standard HuaHui Cube, or one Giant Pixel,
HuaHui cubes are Giant Pixels to be used as color pixels in giant size paintings. Depending on the installation context, an original picture will be installed to accompany the landscape.
The Mona Lisa is an example used here to show how individual pixels contribute to making the final picture. The Photomosaic softwares were made famous by Princess Diana's Newsweek cover, her portrait was entirely build of flowers.
Some available softwares for testing.
