tokyo rl + sl concert
Glad that I went to Tokyo. Now, I saw with my own eyes, what are avant-garde, experimental artists. Too bad I didnt have time to talk with the others too much, as i had to man my own machine and talk to visitors too.
It was rather inhaitual for me. It was a birthday party of a sort. Everyone was dancing, singing, free improvisation. They were cheerful people with long orange color hair, and dark sun glasses even inside the room. Bhutto type of dancing movements, screaming, noise guitar, and toy pianos, toy accordeons, all making up 3 hrs of a wall of sounds, they listened to each other...
i would have liked to know more. :)
I was in a separate little room, as guqin music is quiet, and i needed darkness for projection... so the two events were quite in one space... it is not mixable without changing the meaning of the guqin part. So, it happened and was done the best way possible. People were drinking and eating at the same time as the performance is going on, some free from yelling, singing... i have never participated at such an event.
Anyway it was intersting, fun, but more time was needed.
Here i upload three clips shot by Five, who came to the sl concert.
There were around 15 people on and off... the ambiance was right, quiet. People IM ed other people to come... :)
after i ran back home, i received another guest from sl in rl here in Paris.
So i met two people from sl in rl.
Whats the result? I had to do it.
Dont want to speak silliness closed in by sl anymore.
But strangely enough, some sl friends, even if i never meet them it doesnt change my relation to them. Others, the fact that when the occasion was possible but was not made used of... it rather puts an end to the relation... because... because, because... who knows why ?
And those who were able to move from sl to rl will be treasured all the more, because we had experienced a step thats rarely taken.
Now, next...

14jan08 tokyo
So i am here, and i met a man on the plan who lived in Beijing 25 years ago, he was very talkative, retired w his wife, on a cheap tour to Greece for one week, i invited them to come to the concert... hahahah, it might not be their thing - noise guitar? ... however. He said he will bring some of his photos of china 25 years ago to show me.
Interesting meeting. He was head of a big insurance firm living at Peking hotel.
I arrived in Tokyo and staying in Ginza, in a nice hotel, not expensive! Full feature, with microwave and washer dryer! and a balconey.
Its located next to a fish market and the chic area of town with all the Hermes, chanel stores...on the wall of this hotel is a huge red fish! So i will not miss it!
Already, i enjoy it.
The plane was one hour late. As the plane landed, it shuddered and shock all the magazines flying down the isle! Hah!
The curator will show me some of his music stuff.
We went to the electric town, and checked out gadgets... :) the same as last time when i was here with Swannjie Jie, but this time, its less hectic. And i enjoy just looking around.
Today is a holiday, lots of people on the street, a lot of the women wore kimonos!
And tv teams on the street too interviewing people.
Its Dress up day, or New year festival?
:)
Nice.
I am glad i am here because, i made a decision and i carried it out, now see how far i could get.

clutter, clean, chic
http://relaxin.slmame.com/
Such a well organised blog
I have seen slmame before, but for some reason this one is well organised, and simple to see. Maybe graphically pleasant?
Sometimes we dont know how much time it takes to make a blog thats clean, and uncluttered. :)
Clutter, is sooooo haaarrrd to clear.
Can clutter be a style of chic...? Only if yours own, other people clutter is tiresome... too personal, too expressive... but when i see Francis Bacons painting studio - I find this clutter this years of uncleared paint on the table is a freedom. How many people could enjoy this scale of insouciance? Or letting go.
Thats why we all need an atelier space. A personal private space that no one could interfere - even just visually.
